AT the Living Coasts attraction in Torquay, Devon, UK a baby penguin has been removed from its regular habitat so that the caregivers can help it receive enough food. According to the penguin keepers, they generally like to allow the animals to go about their daily business without any interferance. However, in the case of this little penguin (named pingu), the keepers had to step in and help.
The young penguin wasn’t gaining enough weight because its natural brother was taking all the food. So now the 3 week old penguin has a funny little stuffed penguin to keep it company. Reminds me of the goofy brother we all wished we had.
