Zappos, and online shoe retailer, apparently had a party last night. Part of the atmosphere was real live african penguins swimming in the pool. How cool is that??? We all know penguins are the classiest critter around, but to be able to party with the penguins, that’s just outstanding! Wish I had been there.

I haven’t been able to find any other information, other than a few penguin pictures posted by the CEO and employees of Zappos through twitter.

Just more proof to your eyeball peeled, you never know where your next penguin sighting might come from.

I just did. Every time I have seen penguins, they are by themselves and usually in some kind of a bird only exhibit or even all alone in their own exhibit. I went to Omaha last month and saw the Black-footed penguins living in the same exhibit as the giraffes. It was amazing and weird all at once!

How cool is that?!

And by the way, if you have a chance to visit,  the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska… do it! The penguin exhibits are fantastic!

But not in the penguin trash bin! I’ve been side tracked making fun little penguin plushies and completely forgot to blog my other penguin fun things. I’m so sorry!

Here’s a cute photo I found… public trash bin with penguins surrounding it. Taken December 3rd 2006 in town of Penguin, Tasmania.

Now, how can you through trash in a can surrounded by penguins? Fish maybe, but real garbage? I dont know that I could. too cute!
