Here is a quick little video I took of rockhopper penguins as they sing. I don’t know if anyone else would say they’re singing, but they sure were happy and making a lot of noise. I was sure they were about to bust out a few moves.
I think they were happy just being together - and it was just after or just before lunch time.. so food definitely plays a role. Who wouldn’t be happy with food somewhere near by? Regardless, happy penguins… that’s what we have here.
This is a video form the Cincinnati Zoo. A new baby king penguin was born on July 30th, and this is a video about the baby, it’s parents and what we can do to help penguins in the wild.
I’ve never been to the Cincinnati zoo. I wish I were close enough to see the baby first hand. If you’ve been by, oh please tell me about it!
Well, that’s the funny concept behind a Washington lottery commercial. Watch a penguin waddle along and even get a chance at “flying” on a hang glider… there are other flightless birds included, like a chicken and an emu. This is such a cute video!
I was able to visit two different zoos over Memorial weekend, which is why I’ve been so quiet lately… I’m organizing all my photos and fun videos to share with you. But, while I was looking through youtube for something else, I spoted this absolutely adorable video of Little Blue Penguins. Oh I love then, they’re truly teeny tiny! I’ll share some photos with you from the Omaha zoo later too. So cute!!
I wish I could just hop on a plane and visit more in Australia. If you have photos, I’d love it if you would share too.
