I just did. Every time I have seen penguins, they are by themselves and usually in some kind of a bird only exhibit or even all alone in their own exhibit. I went to Omaha last month and saw the Black-footed penguins living in the same exhibit as the giraffes. It was amazing and weird all at once!

How cool is that?!
And by the way, if you have a chance to visit, the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska… do it! The penguin exhibits are fantastic!

I visited the penguins at the St. Louis zoo this past week, and it was fantastic! The penguin exhibit is named “Penguin and Puffin Coast” I have a ton of photos and some neat video to share with you… but to start off with I’d like to show you the cool penguin art. There is a mosaic (a picture made of colored tiles) that greets you as you first enter into the indoor penguin exhibit, and it’s just lovely!

In this art piece there is a king penguin, a humboldt penguin and a puffin, which is not a penguin, but sometimes is mistaken for being a penguin.
The entire exhibit was so terrific I had to go through twice!

There are humboldt penguins outside with a waterfall and a pond. Inside there are king penguins, rockhopper penguins and gentoo penguins all happily living together… it’s really fun to see. They have rocks to jump around and a great water feature to swim in.
I had a fantastic time!
