Here’s another great site about penguins. It has your usual info section and fun facts, but it also has a small list of “site by kids for kids”. It also has a nice list of activities and ideas for learning more about penguins… I love it! Check out penguins on 42explore.com

According to Sayahda, the penguin animal totem is a powerful symbol to have in your life representing respect, love and strength in character.
She writes:
“The penguin is an amazing animal with unusual characteristics.”
“These unique animals exude an air of properness and good manners… denoting a sense of order and purpose. [and ] They waddle with determination and focus.”
“Both male and female penguins bow to one another before entering or leaving the nest. The bow is a behavior demonstrated most often in pairs. Penguins may also walk about the area while bowing. Bowing is considered to be both a form of appeasement and a tool for maintaining social bonds… This bird teaches respect to all who cross its path.”
