Penguin in Pennsylvania

For the entire month of January, there will be African penguins at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. Every weekend in January there are special penguin themed activities. The penguins visit in the winter to help boost zoo visits and there’s even a program, called Pennies for Penguins, to help raise funds for a permanent penguin exhibit.

Snares Island penguin rescued

A project leader at the Department of Primary Industries in Tasmania rescued a badly injured penguin. The penguin was cut along his back, obviously tired and hungry. Dr Pemberton took the ailing penguin home to a special compound and nursed the bird back to health.
