Penguins moving to New Orleans from Fort Wayne

The Fort Wayne children’s zoo sent two young penguins to help retivalize the Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The entire original penguin colony survived hurricane Katrina, but were sent away for a year while the facility was rebuilt. The colony returned home in May of 2006 and now the program is hoping that these two new residents will mate…. adding baby penguins to the community.
