A baby penguin was welcomed into the world at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. The little penguin chick hatched on February 21, 2009. This is the first baby penguin for the aquarium in 8 years, so needless to say, it’s very exciting news!

Sir Nils Olav Penguin

Nils Olav, a penguin in the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, was knighted August 15th, 2008. He is the third king penguin to carry the name since the original mascot was named in 1972.

Now you may call him Sir Nils.
